Army Central Fund support enables The Warrior Programme to deliver structured personal development courses for serving Army personnel experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety.

Through a multi-year grant, the Army Central Fund has supported The Warrior Programme to deliver its Foundation Course and follow-on support to serving Army personnel, both Regular and Reserve. The programme supports individuals experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety, demotivation and reduced confidence, including those affected by workplace pressures, bullying and complex family circumstances. Over the three-year funding period, 129 serving personnel took part, with demand continuing to exceed available places.

The programme combines an intensive residential course with structured pre- and post-course support, enabling participants to develop practical tools for managing stress, improving self-awareness and rebuilding confidence. Participants report improved emotional regulation, stronger communication with colleagues and family, renewed focus on career development and greater resilience in managing ongoing pressures. The extended follow-up support helps embed these changes over time, supporting sustained improvement rather than short-term intervention.

By investing in early, non-clinical wellbeing support, the Army Central Fund helps serving personnel address challenges before they escalate into crisis. The Warrior Programme contributes to improved wellbeing, confidence and stability, supporting individuals to remain engaged in service and better equipped to navigate the demands of Army life.
