Between July 2023 and March 2026, ACF awarded £8.23 million in grants to 39 organisations. Together, they directly supported 8,181 people and provided more than 115,000 instances of indirect support across the Army community in the UK and more than 25 countries and territories worldwide.
The report shows how ACF funding has helped serving personnel recover from injury, improve their physical and mental wellbeing and strengthen their confidence and sense of belonging. It has also supported more than 5,000 family members and children, while helping 561 spouses and partners move into employment, education, training or volunteering.
The findings demonstrate that ACF’s grants do more than fund individual services and activities. They help trusted organisations sustain essential frontline provision, respond to the distinctive pressures of Army life and work more effectively with others.
Of the funded organisations surveyed, 92% said ACF investment helped them maintain frontline delivery, 80% said it strengthened their ability to support families affected by mobility and repeated relocation, and 48% secured additional funding as a result.
The report also introduces ACF’s new impact framework, developed with Bean Research. This will help ACF and the organisations it funds gather evidence more consistently, understand what works and use that learning to inform future grantmaking.
